Custom Orders
As an Artist, bringing my clients’ ideas to life is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Whether it’s designing murals for local businesses, or brainstorming concepts with an individual customer, each commission is a very special creative process. Here at Mad Dude Art, we offer a selection of fully customizable commission options. Follow the links below for more information about each type of commission.
Commission FAQs
So, how do commissions work, anyway?
It all begins with you! If you have an idea that you want me to bring to life, the first step is filling out a form. Once I receive the inquiry, I will either accept or deny the project. If I accept it, I will begin the consultation process with you to iron out all the details. Through your preferred method of contact, I’ll ask questions to clarify your vision for the design, confirm sizing, sketch concepts, and quote you an exact price. At the end of the consultation process, after we get the design nailed down and exchange reference photos, etc., I will add your order as a “Commission Ticket for [your name]” in our Shop. Payment is required before I begin working on the project.
Why would a commission request be denied?
Several factors go into the acceptance or denial. Reasons for a denial might be that I am simply not comfortable with the design, the idea is not conducive with my style of painting, or if it’s a medium I am unfamiliar with (ex: I would decline a request for a sculpture because I don’t work with clay at this time). I also do not copy other artists’ work. Furthermore, I am a busy lady! I might not be able to accept an order at that time due to scheduling, in which case you would be added to a waiting list.
I submitted my form but haven’t heard back from you yet. Did you deny my request?
Please be patient with me! I will personally respond to every request submitted, regardless of acceptance, within two calendar weeks. If a request is denied, I will explain why. If two weeks pass and you have not been contacted with further information (and you’ve already checked your spam folder!) please contact us here with your name, a brief summary of your commission, and the date the form was submitted.
